Ian Allright

With over 15 years experience managing projects, programmes and PMOs in both the financial and public sectors, I also have extensive experience in operational delivery and have spent many years working with senior stakeholders and senior managers on a daily basis.

  

Key Skills and Achievements

Project and Programme Management: I have successfully managed all lifecycles   of a variety of projects & programmes within multiple sectors ranging   from around £200k to in excess of £100m, utilising a variety of   methodologies. I am equally comfortable either managing large teams delivering   programmes or on small projects with an unsupported hands on approach.

 

Stakeholder and Supplier Management: I have   extensive experience of stakeholder and supplier management at all levels,   including board level and senior civil servants, and managing multiple   contractor and sub-contractor teams. I have many years experience negotiating   and managing change with suppliers and stakeholders including multiple and   diverse stakeholders.


Transition Management: I have significant   experience of managing people and organisations through change, within   project, operational and transitional environments; including the development   and implementation of new operating models, new technology and   outsourcing/insourcing. I have experience from both client side and supplier   side on transition projects.


Planning: I have a proven track record of planning for both multi phase   programmes as well as shorter term change projects. Customer feedback   regularly recognises planning and subsequent delivery to plans as a key   personal strength.

Josephine Allright

With over eight years experience managing multiple and a variety of operational and strategic procurement projects in both the public and private sectors. I have significant hands on experience in Category Management, large scale end to end complex public sector procurement, negotiations and operational delivery and have spent many years working to achieve expertise and a professional, skilled approach in all stages of the procurement cycle. 


  

Procurement: I have successfully managed and been engaged in a variety of procurement projects & programmes within the public and private sectors ranging from around £30k to £1.1 billion local authority collaborative Competitive Dialogue procurement for the provision of waste management services. I am fully conversant with Public Contract Regulations and am comfortable either working with large teams delivering large scale procurements or on small projects with an unsupported hands on approach. I am MCIPS qualified with a Masters Degree in Public Service Management and accredited Business Consultant.


Public Sector: I have over 30 years public sector experience across DWP, BIS, and a number of Local Authorities, in procurement, contract management, operational management, and cross Government policy and strategy development roles. I have in depth working knowledge and understanding of Public Contracts Regulations. With a number of years experience working in short term assignments I am an expert at hitting the ground running to support and effectively contribute without delay.


Negotiations: I have many years experience negotiating contracts, variations and managing change with suppliers and stakeholders including multiple and diverse areas of the business and customers. This includes negotiation of discounts, reduced costs and efficiency and a full complex negotiated procedure. Outcomes have included improved service delivery, reduced costs and better fit for purpose.


Savings & Value for Money: I have a proven track record of achieving savings and identifying value for money ranging from £10K on small procurements to £9 million in cross government initiatives. 


Developing & Implementing Sourcing Strategies: I have substantial experience of developing, planning and implementing sourcing strategies for both multi phase procurements as well as small value tenders. I apply the disciplines of project management and am skilled at presenting high quality documents and plans. Customer feedback regularly recognises planning and subsequent delivery to plans as a key personal strength. 


E-enabled Procurement: I have effectively utilised and benefitted from using Bravo, Emptoris e-sourcing systems, quickly becoming an expert in running reverse auctions and RFPs to achieve significant savings and streamlining of the procurement process to gain time and meet challenging deadlines. I also have working knowledge of SAP to deliver in depth spend analysis and recommendations.


Stakeholder and Supplier Management: I have extensive experience of stakeholder and supplier management at all levels, including and managing contractor and sub contractor teams. Working with Heads of Procurement and Senior Managers in both Public & Private Sectors, I have instigated and enabled improved approach to collaboration to deliver benefits and efficiencies.
